Lisbon is known for its hills, so no wonder that the Historic Centre occupies two of the key ones and the valley in between. The Panorama Tour lets you follow Lisbon's evolution and expansion, from its dawn to its revival from the ashes after the 1755 earthquake and up to the early 20th century, to present a complete panorama of premodern Lisbon. 2500 years of history spell several stages, numerous ups and downs. Lisbon has played many roles and Lisbon has seen it all.

Lisbon: a laidback Roman town; a flourishing Muslim fairy tale; the centre of an ever-expansive Christian empire that reaches the shores of South America, Africa, and Asia; an immensely rich and powerful baroque jewel; hardly anything but ruins - after a tremendous earthquake followed by a horrific tsunami; an enlightened idea of urban planning and the perfect setting for delicate Romantic indulgence.

On this tour, you´ll travel through time by experiencing such different periods and atmospheres without any effort, moving from roman ruins and medieval alleys to Baroque opulence and Romantic palaces, and of course, everywhere, splashes of modern, innovative Lisbon.

You’ll go from the charming, placid, old neighbourhoods of Mouraria and Graça to savouring Alfama while sipping typical Ginjinha, and to bustling commercial and cultural districts such as Chiado and Príncipe Real, where antique dealers, concept stores, and art galleries thrive in a Baroque and Romantic set. And once you find yourself in the charming Estrela neighbourhood, with its elegant Basilica, and get to briefly walk through the most romantic garden of Lisbon, then you will feel the coup de grace in your heart and be officially in love with Lisbon.

With the precious help of your private local guide, you'll get the full panorama, not only through broad perspectives from multiple miradouros sitting on opposing hills, but also by deciphering the cosmopolitan mosaic that makes up Lisbon's heritage, notably in its architecture, vocabulary, and gastronomy.

While spending time with a true Lisboeta and absorbing the authentic insights, don't miss the chance of getting personal tips on all the good restaurants and social hot spots. With a local's help, get to know the inside story, find out about the must-see in Lisbon and learn how to avoid the insidious tourist traps.

Fun, informative tour of Lisbon

Marco kindly met us close to the train station and spent the next 3 hours showing us the highlights of the beautiful city. He was entertaining, informative and knowledgeable. The tuk-tuk is a really nice way to get around in the small streets and alleys and up/down those treacherous hills, and allowed us to get into spots that would have been difficult on a bus. Luckily, the tuk-tuk had a transparent top so even while sitting in it, you could see buildings and monuments. Highly recommend!

A true master and great companion!

Up until the tour with Sandra, I'd considered Lisbon and Portugal to be a small town in a small country. After three hours with Sandra, we learned that Lisbon and Portugal are the largest places in our universe. Sandra is a master of history and her ability to position Portugal and Lisbon in that history is certainly unmatched. She connects right away and doesn't release until the final goodbyes!

TukTukTour with so much extra's

This Tuktuktour in Lisbon was amazing. Tourguide Miguel showed us all the highlights and told us so much side-information. Not only we seen the most beautiful spots, we also no2 know very interesting facts about the city. For example: the earthquake, politics, the funiculare and so much more. The real enthousiasm of Miguel made us enjoy this tour even more. He even let us listen to Fado and an upgraded version. I wil recommend this to my friends. Again, THANKS Miguel! Regards, Barbara &the girls
